This painting by Janet Hauser shows the Australian plant Alectryon tomentosus (Hairy Bird's Eye) on the right. Our research shows that with only slight changes the bug could shift its focus to the introduced environmental weed, Cardiospermum grandiflorum (Balloon Vine).
